BCS has a new home in Belleville, Ontario that will be compliant with Canada’s Controlled Goods Program allowing goods, including components and technical data that have military or national security significance, which are controlled domestically by the Government of Canada and defined in the Defence Production Act. This facility and lab will allow for continued growth for the company in new sectors while continuing to maintain steady growth in its traditional market (cement, oil-gas, bulk martial handling, agri-food).
BCS Automation received a contribution from Trenval through the Rural Innovation Initiative Eastern Ontario program (RIIEO) funded by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev) to support new technology development in their laboratory and training facility including technology advancements in the SPD 3000 product line of electrical switchboards and motor control centres.
BCS has a long history and experience in the commercial marine industry and more recent expansion with its involvement in the National Shipbuilding Strategy supplying marine automation to the Canadian Coast Guard.
